Position: Trade Lane Manager in Sales&Marketing Department

Trade Lane Manager based in Moscow, Russia for the Trade lane between Russian Federation and defined Region (Asia or Americas) who will be responsible for business growth on specific lanes by developing specific trade lane growth strategy and ensure its execution.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Drive overseas sales by active sales activities to Target accounts and conduct Sales Trip to defined countries
  • Support local Sales team in gaining Strategic customers on the lane in close collaboration with international counterparts and commercial team
  • Identify strategic sectors for business development, combine with market trends and product development needed to satisfy customer needs to execute Trade Lane strategy in the country
  • Ensure competitive service and commercial offering on the trade lane together in close collaboration with commercial team
  • Provide specific trade lane expertize within sales organization, operations and commercial department of the company
  • Promote DHL Global Forwarding Russia organization within DHL network and build relationship on the top level of counterpart organization
  • Plan and conduct sales calls and developing solid pipeline to meet budget and trade lane strategy
  • Analyze trade lane performance on regular basis, develop and execute action plans to growth the business
  • Support customers’ relationships by providing key knowledge about overall market trends, support service improvement by involving counterparts in the region
  • Support implementation of new Strategic customers by coordinating the integration of the overseas team members in the implementation process
  • Generate leads for overseas controlled business
  • Engage with sales owners of most significant opportunities in the pipeline by overseas support attraction .
  • Maintain up-to-date trade lane information by submitting periodic reports and ensuring that data entry in electronic database and other systems are current

  • A successful track record of 3-5 years of relevant experience in business or freight forwarding qualification
  • Broad understanding of trade lane specifics in the forwarding industry and deep knowledge of air freight, ocean freight and logistic business models
  • Capability to develop value proposition and highly effective in conducting sales negotiations
  • Strong negotiation, communication and selling skills, ability to interact effectively with expatriate top management of leading multinationals
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Airfreight Freight Forwarding, Ocean freight, and Multi Modal transport industry
  • Excellent knowledge of organization and understanding of internal communication and administration channels in global or multinational freight forwarding companies
  • Good all round communication and presentation skills in English and Russian
  • Good time management
  • A high degree of self-motivation
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to gather and analyze complex data
  • Experience using a CRM system as well as MS Office Products
  • Fluent Russian & English languages
  • Driving license
